What is Hometechshield?

Hometechshield is an information technology company that provides affordable tech support services for our members located in NC.

What are your hours of operation?

All of our IT Support Specialists have a customized schedule. Most of them are available Mon-Sat 8am-6pm, Sun 8am-12pm

How do I sign up for your services?

If I sign up for a membership plan, do I have to sign a service agreement or contract?

All customers who sign up for a membership plan will receive a pdf copy of our company's service agreement. Customers who sign up for a membership plan that comes with our electronic protection services will have to agree to a 1yr or 2yr commitment.

How much is the cost of your company's monthly membership plans?

The account management services membership plan is $10 a month. The innovative tech support membership plan is $18 a month. The electronic protection services 1yr plan is $22 a month, and our 2yr plan is $19 a month.

How am I billed for my membership plan?

Members can choose between the 1st and 5th of each month when they want their monthly membership fee auto-drafted from their bank accounts. 

Are there any discounts for first time members?

Yes, Our company do offer limited-time bundle discounts on monthly membership plans that save customers money.

Can I upgrade or downgrade my membership plan?

Members can only upgrade and downgrade their membership plans if they are not under a 1yr or 2yr electronic protection services commitment plan. 

Do your company have a customer referral program?

Yes, We do have a referral program for members that refer others to our company.

Can I transfer my membership plan to another person?

Yes. A member can transfer an active membership plan to another person.

What exactly is an IT Support Specialist?

They are assigned IT professionals who are responsible for providing our services to our members in their local community.

What is the difference between your company and Geek Squad?

Geek Squad is also a tech support company that offer memberships plans to their customers. The main difference between the two companies is how we structure our membership plans when it comes to services provided and overall cost savings.

Do members get charged for requesting to have their tech come to their home?

No. We will never charge our members a service visit fee to have their assigned IT Support Specialist come out to their homes.

Does HTS offer online support for its members?

Yes. Members who have technical questions can email us at support@hometechshield.com.

How do I receive my prize if I win in the monthly giveaway?

Winners will receive an email from us a office@hometechshield.com. The email will also request for members to confirm where they want their prize shipped.

What can I do if I have electronic accessories that are not covered by your company?

You can email us at office@hometechshield.com to request for your electronic accessories to be covered afterward we will review your request.

Do members have the option to request an increase in company credit?

Yes. We allow our members to increase their company credit but only under certain circumstances.

What must I do to get my IT Support Specialist authorized on my telecommunication accounts?

Members can add their IT support specialist as an authorized user by calling their telecommunication providers.

Do HTS manages more than one telecommunication account?

Yes. we help our members manage multiple telecommunication accounts

Do your company provide tech support for all electronic devices?

We provide tech support for the most common electronic devices such as smart phones, TV's, computers, and tablets.

What is the turn around time for electronic repairs or replacements?

The turnaround time for most repairs or replacements is within 24 to 48 hours.
